The FCC proposed rules take away all authority from cities, counties, states, HOAs, and even individual homeowners when it comes to the placement of wireless infrastructure.
Â
Most people have no idea this is happening! And the public comment window is
closing.
Â
Here’s what FCC rules (Docket 25‑276) would mean for us:Â
Â
• Cell towers placed directly next to homes — even outside bedroom windows! We would have no ability to object or request alternative locations.
Â
• Multiple towers installed up and down residential streets! This includes single‑family neighborhoods, condos, townhomes, and gated
communities.
Â
• No public hearings, no appeals, no local review! The rules would eliminate public input entirely.
Â
• Cities, counties, and states lose all authority! All decisions would shift to the FCC in Washington, D.C.
Â
• Independent safety review blocked! Local governments would not be allowed to hire independent experts.
Â
• Automatic approval after 150 days! If
the County doesn’t approve a tower application fast enough, it becomes automatically approved — even if residents strongly oppose it.
Â
Why This Matters
This proposal removes every layer of local control and leaves communities with no voice in decisions that directly affect their health, homes, environment, property values, and quality of life.
