First, some exciting news. Check out our new logo! We are so grateful to KeepYourPower (KYP) volunteer Susan Higa (Maui), who lovingly and painstakingly designed a logo for us that completely captures the essence of
KYP! Don't you just love it?
But s/he needs a name! We're thinking: Imua.

Next, the updates. Our last couple of efforts to stop towers have not been successful, but important strides are being made. The after-the-fact permit for the Verizon tower on Maui (Haiku) was approved, but we did get some important concessions.
One is that the tower cannot be used for 5G! We got that concession, which is typically not allowed by law, because Verizon was over a barrel. They built the tower without a permit and either they had to abandon their expensive investment or agree to concessions. I was grateful to see the Maui Planning commission efforts to
hold Verizon accountable, but hoped for a different outcome and was disturbed to watch Verizon's behavior under oath during the hearing process.
Next was the tower proposal hearing for Hawaiian Paradise Park on Big Island. Due to public outcry against the tower, Hawaii county planning commissioners had denied the permit and AT&T turned around and sued, no questions asked! But the commissioners were not to be so easily intimidated and valid attempts were made to hold AT&T
accountable, including some concessions. In the end, though, the commission had no choice but to approve the permit. The law is on the side of big telecom, and, thankfully, the laws are being challenged in court in multiple lawsuits.
Finally, we are thrilled about our next project, a F-R-E-E mini-class on how to make your home EMF safer in a wireless world. Details and registration coming very soon!
Stay attuned!
